During Jesus’s passion, most people fled or hid, including His apostles and close friends. Many ignored what was happening, or were indifferent, and continued with their lives as usual, and some followed solely out of curiosity. But then there were the very few women who accompanied Jesus on His path to Calvary. These women were filled with love for the Lord that moved them to approach Jesus with courage solely to console Him. These few women, Mary, the Mother of Jesus, Veronica, Mary Magdalene, and the women weeping with their children, were all blessed, strengthened, and consoled by Jesus with an abundance of God’s graces. Till this day, few continue to remain with the Lord in His continuous agony for souls in the Tabernacles of the world. Like then, they continue to be mostly women who love their Rabboni passionately, and for love of Him, also choose to console and accompany Him in His hidden agony of love.
