The Blood of Christ pours forth from His Body, His complete sacrifice. The tears come from His Heart. The Lord invites me to be His living chalice that collects His tears, His tears of love and sorrow that flow from His most sensitive Heart for each of us. I am called to honor and collect my Lord’s tears in the chalice of my heart. My most hidden and interior life is the union of sorrows with my God.

Satan has taken away our identities as true men and women created in the image and likeness of God. Jesus Christ is fully man and fully God. He cries, feels, and loves intimately; He touches and allows himself to be touched; He’s passionate and courageous in His zeal to do the Father’s Will; He speaks the truth always; He is consuming tenderness for He is mercy, He is Love. Jesus Christ is not macho. We need the Holy Spirit to restore our true identities as holy men and women of the Kingdom of God. To collect the tears of the God-man and cry with Him is the purest union of hearts…

Part of our restoration as men and women is the ability to cry again. A great gift of the Holy Spirit is the gift of tears. This gift is experienced by many in places of apparitions and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Mary is the Queen of Sorrows, the Mother of Tears, precisely because she is of ONE Heart with the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We can only enter the fusion of hearts through the union of sorrows with our Lord.
