Tenderness Has the Power to Melt the Most Hardened Hearts Steeped in PrideTenderness
Date: January 1, 2012
Context: Feast of the Mother of God
I arrived at Sunday Mass early to pray the rosary. As I began praying the rosary, I felt the presence of Mary approach me. She was wearing a white gown and a white veil, but the focus of my interior eyes was on her feet. She was barefoot, and her feet shone golden light. My being just wanted to prostrate myself at her feet and kiss them.
She said that she wanted me and all the MOC to grow in the virtue of TENDERNESS this new year. She explained that tenderness has the power to melt the most hardened hearts steeped in pride.
She asked us to be attentive to our handsand to how we use them or fail to use them. God wants to transmit His love through a mother’s gentle touch.
Eyes: Learn to gaze into the eyes of God’s sons and daughters (our brothers and sisters) and see into their hearts. Do not be deceived by the exterior but see the wounds and pain in the hearts of your brothers and sisters.
This will help our gaze become the gaze of love and not judgment. Our perception of a person is easily distorted when we see only the exterior but are moved to compassion when we see into the heart.
Words: Our Blessed Mother said that every word that flows from our lips should be as honey.
